Vampires vs Zombies vs Robots etc

I worked pretty long and/or hard on this.  I had to live with it a while to figure out how I wanted it to look.

But the idea came in a flash.  It's about when you're a kid and drawing monsters with a friend, and you always have to add one more thing that makes your monster cooler, excuse me, more awesome. And then you grow up and have a little girl and it's the same thing, only with less monsters and more ballerinas.

I am still learning to play with layers, and tickled that I can do as much as I can.  The idea to use watercolor backgrounds is totally swiped from Crispin over at Small Blue Yonder, in whose hands it is an art.

I really do wonder how the zombie craze got started.

Cartoon Hell

Second cartoon of the day, just popped out while playing with a brush pen.

If only he had a copy of the New Yorker to read

I had this idea the other day while reading the New Yorker, for reasons that should be obvious. It is probably the exception when there's an issue that doesn't have both a desert island cartoon and a death cartoon. I guess if I wanted to try to hit the trifecta, I could add in a hot dog stand.

May try to redraw sometime soon...I would love to develop some ink wash skills.

"Fat Guys" was an idea I had years ago, but never did it because I used to think everything needed to be perfect. >:(
