Time Capt/Capt Time!
Just realized I never put these on the blog. I am grateful to the cartoon gods for this idea, as it spurred me to start doing cartoons again (all of a few months ago), and restarting this blog.
I sketched out the top strip in my notebook; then drew the mirror-image strip on the opposite side. I feel I've gotten better in a short time, but I can see I was being REALLY CAREFUL when I was doing these.
Capt. Time will be making his triumphant return sometime soon.

GooGooGaJoob
Another idea that has been in my head a long time, and has finally gotten out. All props to Google image search on what walruses look like. Reminds me of the old cartooning books that would suggest you create a reference "morgue" of photo clippings.
Once again, I spend more time choosing colors than actually drawing. Kind of weird. I wrote that title freehand a few dozen times, chose the best one, and substituted the "Ga" from another one!

@#$! Benedict Cumberbatch!
"Benedict Cumberbatch" sounds vaguely like an obscenity to my ears. That is the only joke! Aside from the 'Shaft' hommage, of course.
I thought the latest Sherlock was a bit too clever for its own good. I have at least one more 'toon that needs to colored and re-upped!

Friday Comic Strip Dump!
Some recent objets d'art that haven't previously made it to the blog.
Old crow-quill sketch that I didn't even remember doing! I like the dashy-scratchy line.
Inspired by the recent finale of 'How I Met Your Mother,' which I was vaguely aware of and thought was still kind of a new show.
Is there anything that can't be made funny but putting a butt in it? I work slow, made a point of doing this quick.
I have more ideas, and need to draw more cartoons.

Vampires vs Zombies vs Robots etc
But the idea came in a flash. It's about when you're a kid and drawing monsters with a friend, and you always have to add one more thing that makes your monster cooler, excuse me, more awesome. And then you grow up and have a little girl and it's the same thing, only with less monsters and more ballerinas.
I am still learning to play with layers, and tickled that I can do as much as I can. The idea to use watercolor backgrounds is totally swiped from Crispin over at Small Blue Yonder, in whose hands it is an art.
I really do wonder how the zombie craze got started.
